The electric version of the popular compact SUV Nexon will be launched on December 16. This is the second electric vehicle to be launched by the Tata after the Tigor.
The first Nexon EV to be introduced in the personal electric vehicle category is ziptron Technology. The electric variant is similar to the regular Nexon in form.
The vehicle is a semi-digital instrument cluster inspired by the Harrier SUV. The smart phone app connectivity is present in the vehicle. Battery Status, Range and the vehicle will have more than 30 Internet-connected smart features.
The company claims that the Nexon Electric can provide a range of about 300 km on a single charge. The electric charging port is located behind the Fuel lid of the regular Nexon.
In addition to the 300km range, the new technology will feature an efficient high-voltage system, zipper performance, charging system, fast charging capacity, eight-year warranty with motor, battery and IP67 standard compliance in any 15 ampere plug.
The price of the vehicle is between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 17 lakh. Mahindra XUV300 Electric will soon be the main rival to Nexon Electric. The vehicle will be on display at the 2020 Auto Expo, although it will be launched in December. Tata Motors has launched a new campaign called 'The Ultimate Electric Drive' for the new Nexon EV.
